Sean here and I have to tell you, there was a time in my life when I struggled with my weight and fitness as so many people do.  It all started when I sustained a lower back injury in the military which then spiraled me into a lifestyle of laziness and frustration.

I was nearly 60 pounds overweight, it was difficult for me to do my job, my son was 2 years old at that time and I couldn't keep up with him and I was in constant pain.  Simply put, I was miserable and I knew something had to change.  That's when my love and passion for strength and fitness started.

Through trial and error, I discovered how to drop the extra weight, re-build my strength and stamina and even rehabilitate my lower back without surgery or using junk supplements and gimmicks.  Soon I was learning from the best of the best in the fitness industry which helped me turn my passion for helping others into Mayhem Fitness.

Because of my own personal battle with being overweight and out of shape, I know what it feels like to struggle and be highly frustrated with yourself, especially when you think you are doing everything right but the weight just won't seem to come off.

Trust me, over my journey, I made a ton of mistakes, maybe some you've experienced.

But, by working with the best of the best in the fitness industry and by adapting a no excuses, never quit attitude, I discovered exactly how to drop the extra weight and get in incredible shape without having to spend hours in the gym every day or eat a bland and boring diet and I want to share all of this with you.

That's why I created the Mayhem Strength & Fitness Transformation System.

 Mayhem Fitness started out of the humble beginnings of a cheer facility and built our program from the very methods and strategies that took me from overweight, weak and out of shape to a much stronger, confident and healthier person that I am today...way before barbell training, functional exercise and strength and conditioning workouts were considered cool. 

Here at Mayhem Fitness we lift weights, and condition our bodies, and have a great time doing it – make no mistake, we are a Strength & Conditioning Gym. What that means is unlike many of the other fitness gyms, clubs or CrossFit in Richmond, Henrico, Mechanicsville, Short Pump and Hanover – at Mayhem Fitness we treat all of our members like athletes. 

Research has PROVEN that short bursts of moderate to intense exercise is not only best for most athletes but it is the BEST way to exercise for anyone who wants more energy, more vitality, more muscle, more strength, less body fat and a great looking body.
